Forensic triage is the process of collecting and analyzing volatile and non-volatile data rapidly while preserving integrity. Blue teams perform triage to confirm compromise, understand attacker behavior, and preserve evidence for full forensics. Prioritize volatile data (RAM, network connections) before system shutdowns, and always document actions, tools, timestamps, and hashes for chain of custody.
