Detection & Defense (Blue-Team View) — Threat Hunting & Incident Response Fundamentals

The Blue Team’s mission is to protect, detect, respond, and recover. It combines prevention (hardening, patching) with detection (alerting on attacker behavior) and response (containment and remediation). Effective defenders think in attacker TTPs but act through defensive visibility, process, and resilience. A mature blue team assumes breach and continuously verifies detection coverage.
